Obituary of Frank Rodriguez

Francisco “Frank” Rodriguez,72, of Saratoga Springs, NY, passed away peacefully on March 24th, 2024, at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by many members of his loving family.

Frank was born in Manhattan, to Raul and Rose (Ruiz) Rodriguez on August 18th, 1951.

He graduated from Richmondville High School in 1970. He went on to earn an associate degree in nursing from Adirondack Community College and worked as a Registered Nurse for Wilton Developmental Center for 35 Years. Frank also served as a Major in the US ARMY Nursing Corps Reserves.

Frank was an avid outdoorsman who loved gardening, farming, hunting, fishing, or simply watching the wildlife in his backyard.  He developed a special bond with his grandchildren, teaching them how to fish at the family camp.  He enjoyed taking them for rides on his four-wheeler through his fields and helping them to develop an appreciation of the outdoors. 

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Marge Rodriguez (McClay) of Saratoga Springs, his son Dan (Keri) Rodriguez; daughter Michelle (Bryce) Knight; three sisters Becky Venne, Debbie Rodriguez and Maria Stanley; Two sisters-in-law Gayle Rodriguez and Karen Rodriguez; five grandchildren Abby Rodriguez, Nate Rodriguez, Seth Knight, Grace Knight and Ryan Knight; and countless nieces, nephews and friends who will deeply miss him. 

He is predeceased by his grandmother Matilda Ruiz, mother Rose Rodriguez (Ruiz), Father Raul Rodriguez; three brothers Paul Rodriguez, Steve Rodriguez, and John Rodriguez; and his best friend Willard Reid.

Memorial donations in Frank’s name, may be made to the Wilton Wildlife Preserve, either online or by sending a donation to Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park, 80 Scout Road, Wilton, NY 12831. 

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Saratoga hospital ICU staff for their exceptional and compassionate care.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11:30 am on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Flynn Bros, Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St, Greenwich, NY, 12834.  Frank’s funeral services will follow at 11:30 am, with Rev. Vincent Spiezio officiating.
