Florence Kirk

Florence Kirk, 94, passed away on Monday November 18, 2024, at Fort Hudson Nursing Home.

She was born on June 8, 1930, to the late Robert and Julia (Wolfe) Livingston.

Florence was a former employee of the local paper mills, The Golden Fleece, and Stevens & Thompson Paper Company. She also enjoyed working at her parents’ restaurant, as well as The Downtown Diner.

Florence enjoyed betting on the horses, socializing with friends and family, cooking, taking care of her seasonal flowers and her inside plants. She always opened her home to anyone who needed help, including many relatives and friends. She loved taking care of others!

Survivors include her loving children, John E. (Patricia) Kirk Jr. of Easton, Peggy (Richard) Stiles of Greenwich, Pamela (Gary) Dunham of Salem and Patricia (Tracy) Nelson of Queensbury; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John E. Kirk Sr.; sons, Paul G. Kirk and Robert M. Kirk; grandson, Jason Kirk; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Per Florence’s wishes, a private funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Flynn Bros, Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St, Greenwich, NY, 12834. Her interment will immediately follow in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
