Obituary of Kathryn L. Carter

Kathryn L. Carter passed away at the age of 73 at her home in Greenwich.

She was born in Latham, NY, on December 26, 1950, to the late Raymond S. and Kay Carter.

Kathy graduated from Albany-Shaker High School class of 1968 and went on to attend the College of St. Rose.

She worked as a barmaid/bartender for many years at Wallie’s in Greenwich. She also worked for a Dairy Farm in Greenwich for many years.  Her favorite activities were to spend time on her property surrounded by nature.   Many good times were had sitting on her front porch with her two cats, Cuddles and Whiskers. She was a sixties flower child, who enjoyed her independence.   

She was an eclectic hoarder and treasured every memory in her home.  Every one of her thousands of trinkets and treasures came with the story of how she acquired it.   As the saying goes “Someone else’s junk is someone else’s treasure”.  Kathy found the treasure in any situation she came across.

Kathy is survived by her nephew, who she raised and treated like a son, Raymond G. Carter (Amy Hudson) of Watervliet.  Ray was considered the son she never had; great-nephew, Raymond C. Carter of Watervliet.
